How the fee is calculated
((hours × (1 + contingency / 100) × hourly target) + extra costs + flat payment fee) ÷ (1 − percentage fee / 100)
The result rounds up to the next cent. With the fictional example, 3 hours plus 10% contingency creates a $165 labor target. With no extra costs, a $0.30 flat fee and 3% payment fee, the proposed total is $170.42. After those modeled fees, about $165 remains.
Use your own fee schedule. The hourly target is before taxes and any business expenses you have not entered. Currency conversion, cross-border fees, taxes and fee-specific rounding are not modeled. This is not a market-rate recommendation.
When should you use this?
Use it for a genuinely additional deliverable, a new direction after approval, or work beyond the allowance you agreed. Do not automatically bill for fixing your own errors. Whether a request is extra depends on your agreement and the facts.
